Brian Rock

Brian has been a cornerstone of the BCPA for over a decade. As an athlete, he has represented Canada on the international stage and consistently supported his teammates at every level, from local meets to major championships.

His contributions extend far beyond the platform. Over multiple terms, Brian served on the BCPA Board of Directors as Treasurer and Vice President, and directed numerous competitions, including the Fall Classic, until his retirement from the Board. He also played a key role in the successful delivery of the 2015 Commonwealth Championships, the first international competition hosted by the BCPA and a defining milestone in the association’s history.

Brian is known not only for his leadership, but for his extraordinary commitment to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the sport running, often taking on the hardest tasks without hesitation and without complaint. Whether loading equipment, directing meets, mentoring officials, or stepping in wherever help is needed, his dedication has set a standard few can match.

As both an athlete and a referee, Brian has contributed at every level of the sport, including local competitions, Provincial Championships, and international events. His knowledge, experience, and steady leadership have left a lasting and positive impact on athletes, officials, and volunteers alike.

For his unwavering dedication, tireless service, and enduring legacy, the BCPA is honoured to recognize Brian Rock as the recipient of the Craig English Award in 2025.
